Nowadays, many modern families create a “smart home environment”.
What is the smart home environment?
It is a home that connects with the internet that you can control your home through your device.
What does IoT do it the smart home environment?
Some families may want a simple home environment that can control all the electronic product with their phone. For example, they can turn on the light, air-conditioning or TV on their mobile phone.
Other Example:
Pet Feeder. Many families may add a pet feeder in their home to feed their pet in a long distance way. The feeder is Wi-Fi connected and the owner can feed their pet anytime they want while they are not at home. The feeder is not only for feeding the pet, but most of it also included a camera and features voice communication. The owner can monitor their pet in real-time and talk with them also.
It is really convenient for the busy owner to take care of their pet through IoT. But it also has a risk while using it. IoT is something that an object needs to connect to the Internet. When there is an Internet, it has a chance for the hacker to hack into the device. The hacker can watch your pet like you did, so that they may know what is your home look like, and you may lose other privacy.
For those who are using this kind of pet feeder, please remember to change the password frequently and set a strong password to reduce the risk of being hacked.

IoT is very convenient for users from business and home sector. However, we should also think about the privacy problem before we choose to use IoT at home. Are they secure enough? From the news it stated that the security services had warned children’s toys and baby monitors connected to the internet can be taken over by hackers. I think users should consider the security problem before they choose to buy smart devices, I believe there is nothing much valuable than personal privacy.

I think Iot is very convenient technology for us! I keep a cat by using pet feeder too! I think this invention help me a lot! I used to afraid they will be very upset when they are alone, with the monitoring function, I can watch them when I was free in school!!

Even though it is very convenient to us but i dont think these kind of technology is very stable yet. there are always flows so we can do be cautious on what we do

Its true that there are still a lof of pros and cons about iot but for me i just cant wait it helps to simplify my life and make it easier!
