Is someone stalking me?

Have you ever search something in Google, the next minutes you will see the same type of advertising on Facebook? Don’t get panic, no one is stalking you but selling your data.

Since the rise of social media, people are so easy to provide the data online. The company like Facebook / Google will store the data in the database. For example, Google will store your location every time when you turn on your phone. Also, Google will store all your YouTube history so they will know what is your interest. Are you a fashion lover or a gaming lover! They know all about you!!

Facebook owns the most social media nowadays like WhatsApp and Instagram. People use social media in free time to connect with others, but when they click on something or log in to the server, all the data will be stored in the database. In the economy base, social media provide services to us and we pay by our data. In the digital feudalism, it is easy for them to sell your data to other company but it is not easy for you to leave or delete any data without their permission.

We delete our facebook account by deactivating it in the apps. And it is easy to check the data which Facebook stored from us:

After you receive the data you may see all the post, photo or video you posted on Facebook. Also a list of contacts in your phone, the message you sent or you’ve “deleted” before. You can try to click “clean” to deleted something you want but it will take “90 days” to actual delete in the server.

So we do need to pay attention to provide our data online. It is a simple step for you to signup on a website, also it is a simple way for the company to earn money of your data at the same time.
